Using your LGFCU Visa® Credit Card as your default card for recurring payments and purchases is a smart choice that’s safe and convenient, with a rate that could save you money.
No annual fee and a competitive rate
Our credit card has no annual fee. What's even more important is that our variable interest rate (subject to change quarterly) is not an introductory rate.
We offer the same competitive rate for purchases and balance transfers. And if you decide to use your card for a cash advance, our fixed rate for that is 18.00% APR.
Simple monthly payments
Your minimum monthly payment is 1% of your outstanding balance or $25 per month, whichever is greater. This means you can make a plan to pay off your balance without going broke. Opt-in to e-statements to easily keep track of your payments and spending.
Balance transfers without extra fees
When you transfer your existing high-interest credit card balances to an LGFCU Visa Credit Card, you pay no balance transfer fee. You can use the online form in Member Connect to request your balance transfer.
Or, bring a completed Credit Card Balance Transfer Request Form or the last credit card statement from your other financial institution(s) to a branch near you for processing. Other fees may apply.
What credit score is needed for a credit card?
At LGFCU, we don’t use credit scores to determine your card approval, and all approved applicants receive the same great rate! While we don’t have credit builder loans, this makes our card a great option if you’re starting out and need to build credit.
Use for contactless or mobile payments
The contactless symbol on the front of your Visa Credit Card means you can check out quickly in-store using “tap-to-pay” technology. Look for the symbol at retail checkout terminals.
For even more convenience online or in-store, add it as your primary credit card to some of the most popular mobile payment apps like Apple Pay®, Google Pay,™ and Samsung Pay.®

Credit limits and increases
Credit limits vary based on your ability to repay. Sometimes, however, you may need more spending power or need to improve credit utilization. When this happens, request a credit line increase online, by phone or at a branch location. Credit line increases are available for existing credit cards regardless of the state in which you currently reside.
From time to time, the Credit Union may automatically increase your credit limit based on repayment history and other factors, then notify you of the change. Contact us if you want to decline a credit line increase.
