Branch Location Update: Our first six of 11 locations across North Carolina are already in progress! We added a Durham location after our field assessment teams couldn’t find suitable space for lease or purchase in Mount Airy. Member data helped identify initial locations nearest our largest member populations. "Durham was the very next area in our secondary group of locations," said Sherry Bear, Chief Operations Officer.

With the addition of mortgages to the Civic product lineup, members can purchase or refinance a home, all with the credit union!
Civic members now have the choice of a Fixed-Rate Mortgage, an Adjustable-Rate Mortgage (ARM), or a First-Time Homebuyer Loan.
LGFCU and Civic partner with the UNC School of Government to fund professional development scholarships for those in public service. We’ve reached the $1 million milestone of scholarship funding!
We’ve secured our first official branch location,* (aside from our headquarters in Raleigh), in Asheville at 275 Smokey Park Highway. With plans for more branches, these interactive centers prioritize guiding members in technology use for business, fostering digital comfort, and enabling cash deposits. We are close to announcing the next ones, so stay tuned!
