Get ready for National Credit Union Youth Month

April 1, 2015
Wild about saving

This April, join LGFCU in celebrating National Credit Union Youth Month™ by encouraging your children of all ages to get wild about savings.

It’s a financial jungle out there and you’re probably searching for simple ways to prepare the kids in your life to manage their money now and in the future. We want to help! All month long on our website and in social media, we’ll provide financial tips and tools to help you help your kids, tweens and teens make the most of their money. And we want you to join in the fun. As a credit union, people helping people is one of our primary missions. That’s why we’re inviting our members to share the ways you teach children about money using #CUYouthMonth on Facebook or tweet to @LGFCU. Don’t forget to check your local branch for youth month events in your area.

The Credit Union National Association (CUNA) set aside one week annually in April to provide a fun way to teach younger credit union members about financial matters. This year, CUNA extended the celebration to a full month, giving credit unions across the nation more time to participate with a variety of activities focused on financial education for young people.
