Mortgage Assistance Program

LGFCU invites members who may be experiencing significant financial difficulties to contact us to talk about how the Mortgage Assistance Program (MAP) can help you right away.

How does MAP work?

The program’s goal is to help stabilize your immediate financial situation. You will meet in person with a senior-level Credit Union staff member and together you’ll develop a short-term repayment plan and budget that works to keep you in your home.

Other mortgage assistance related to job loss

If you lost a job because of changing economic conditions, you may be eligible for the Home Protection Program funded by the State of North Carolina. This program helps people who currently have a mortgage and have had a satisfactory mortgage and credit payment history prior to losing a job.
