As of December 31, 2011, paper savings bonds are no longer sold at financial institutions. The U.S. Department of Treasury now sells electronic savings bonds at www.treasurydirect.gov, a secure web-based system operated by the Bureau of Public Debt.

The Credit Union will continue to redeem paper bonds at its branches. Any paper bonds which have not yet matured, but are lost, stolen or destroyed, can be reissued in either paper or electronic form.
