Guided Help

Personal financial wellness is a complimentary service for LGFCU members and those eligible for membership. It all begins with your financial checkup. You provide a certified LGFCU Financial Counselor with information about yourself; we provide you with a personalized summary of your current financial situation. You'll also receive suggestions for managing your money, follow-up planning services or assistance to reduce or eliminate debt.

LGFCU does not offer specific investment advice, nor will we recommend a specific course of action. Our goal is to inform and educate, empowering you to make the right decisions to achieve your long-term financial goals.

If you prefer to work on your own, download and complete the Personal Financial Overview to evaluate your financial condition. Then use the Personal Money Management Workbook to guide you through the entire budgeting process beginning with a balance sheet, tracking and estimating expenses, and ending with goal setting.

Once you know the status of your financial health, you can begin setting financial goals such as buying a house, a car, or saving and investing for retirement or to generate income. Delve further into topics of interest in our Learn section and find ways to get started on the plan you've created in the Act section.

Of course, if questions arise you can always discuss your situation with a certified LGFCU Financial Counselor or Financial Planner at any time. Just call 877.367.5428 or e-mail financialplanner@lgfcu.org.
