Volunteers
Credit Unions have historically operated as community organizations where volunteers play a very significant role. The volunteers represent the philosophical character of these cooperatives that rely on members to help one another. LGFCU's volunteers embody this spirit and play a key role in assisting us to improve the lives of our members. Our Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee, Loan Review Committee and statewide Advisory Council members contribute their time and knowledge to their credit union without being paid.
The staff, board and volunteers will continue to develop and offer services to meet the needs of our members and communities in North Carolina.
LGFCU and SECU Connection
Although some find it confusing when they first go to a branch with a State Employees' Credit Union sign outside, the LGFCU and SECU connection is a simple one. Through a contractual agreement, LGFCU pays SECU personnel to provide services to LGFCU members. This is an efficient and convenient way to serve each and every member.

LGFCU's administrative offices are headquartered in Raleigh, N.C. A satellite office is located in Charlotte, N.C. to provide service to the western part of the state.
